October 7: Central Exchange Fall Open House

Discover more about Central Exchange, designed to promote women’s personal and professional growth and development and foster community service and business leadership by women, at its free fall open house 5-7 p.m. Make relevant connections and learn about the benefits of membership while enjoying drinks and hors d’oeuvres. October 7: KC Young Professionals Happy Hour

Join Kansas City Young Professionals for its monthly happy hour where you can meet and mingle while raising money for Women’s Employment Network, which helps women earn a brighter future for themselves, families and our community. October’s happy hour is 5:30-8 p.m. at Big Rip Brewing Company. Tickets are $7.50 and include a Big Rip beer.

October 7: Business After Hours

Networking never looked so ghoulish. Enjoy drinks, snacks, Halloween themed games and prizes at Meritex. Costumes are option and its free to attend the event 5-7 p.m. at Meritex Lenexa Executive Park. October 8: Nonprofit Executive Breakfast

Be a part of a breakfast that brings together leaders from all over Kansas City for networking, sharing and discussion. The guest speaker for this event will be Fox 4’s Melissa Stern. Stern will offer tips for getting noticed and recognized by the media as well as discussing what got her interested in Kansas City nonprofits. Attendance is solely for nonprofit executive directors and CEOs and is $25 per person for the event 8-9:30 a.m. at Grand Street Café. Visit npconnect.org to register.

October 13: Business After Hours at J. Rieger & Co.

Who needs happy hour plans when you have KC Chamber’s Business After Hours? Get into the spirit of networking at J. Rieger & Co. alongside co-founders Andy Rieger & Ryan Maybee and head distiller Nathan Perry. Meet business leaders, make new connections and even take one of their distillery tours while also enjoying specialty cocktails and tasty morsels from República 5-7 p.m. Registration ($5 for members and $25 for non-members) includes two drink tickets.

October 23: Shadow Day

College students and nonprofit professionals come together today for the 8th annual networking and learning extravaganza. The day ($25 for students) includes a networking breakfast, nonprofit professionals panel and the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a nonprofit professional 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kauffman Foundation Conference Center. October 28: Leawood Young Professionals After Hours

Professionals 21-39 years old are invited to haunt Aloft in Park Place 5-6:30 p.m. for a Halloween themed event that will help build our professional network. If you’re oming from work, stash a costume in your bag, as the most creatively dressed attendee will win a grand prize.
