KC Restaurants Donating Sales to Fallen Firefighters

On Oct. 17, more than 100 area restaurants are donating 10 percent of sales to support the families of two fallen firefighters.

In response to the Oct. 12 tragedy that took the lives of Kansas City firefighters John Mesh and Larry Leggio, the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association (GKCRA) and the Kansas City Originals are bringing together area restaurants and diners on Saturday, Oct. 17 to raise funds for the families of the fallen heroes.

More than 100 restaurants have signed up to participate, and the GKCRA anticipates the number will continue to rise. Restaurants onboard include Bristol Seafood Grill, La Bodega, Affäre, Barrel 31, Café Trio, Tavern in the Village, Tavern at Mission Farms, The Well, Zocalo, The Roasterie, Waldo Pizza and multiple SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza, Minsky’s, Houlihan’s, Hereford House and Johnny’s Tavern locations. Get a complete list of restaurants participating in Saturday’s benefit here.
