Halls, 360 Vodka and The American share cocktail recipes perfect for the season.

What can you expect when Seth Shaver, bar manager of The American, gets creative with locally made 360 Vodka? Delicious concoctions that will be the talk of your next soiree, just as they were at Halls during a recent event sharing holiday entertainment ideas.

Key to Her Heart

  • 1 1/2 ounces 360 Madagascar Vanilla Vodka
  • 3/4 ounce pumpkin shrub
  • 3/4 ounces five spice syrup
  • Splash of dry sparkling wine

To make pumpkin shrub:

Simmer equal parts sugar, water, champagne vinegar and pumpkin puree, covered, over low heat for 1 hour. Strain through a fine mesh strainer and chill.

To make five spice syrup:

Simmer equal parts sugar and water with five spice over low heat for 15 minutes and until all sugar is dissolved. Strain out five spice. Chill.

To make cocktail:

Shake vodka, pumpkin shrub and 5 spice syrup and strain into a flute glass. Top with splash of sparkling wine.

 

Long Kiss Goodnight

  • 1 1/2 ounces 360 Bing Cherry Vodka
  • 1/2 ounce Campari
  • 1/2 ounce St. Germain
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce cherry shrub

To make cherry shrub:

Cut cheeks off Bing cherries and add to pot over low heat with equal parts red wine vinegar, sugar and water. Simmer, covered, on low for two hours. Chill. Use cherry cheeks as garnish.

To make cocktail:

Shake all ingredients and strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with pickled cherry.

 

50’s Novelty

  • 1 1/2 ounces 360 Vodka
  • 1 1/2 ounces dry vermouth
  • 2 dashes orange bitters

Add all ingredients to mixing glass. Stir and strain into martini glass. Garnish with orange twist.
