Lighting Up the Runway for Love Fund

Catch fresh looks from local designers at this year’s Light Up the Runway benefit supporting Love Fund for Children.

Not ready to move past the city’s current passion for sports? Neither are The Young Professionals Supporting the Love Fund throwing this year’s Kansas City sports-themed Light Up the Runway benefit 6:30-10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 at River Market Event Place. Models including Aja James, former KC Chiefs player Darrion Thomas, FCKC players, Fountain City Roller Derby team members and more sporting sportswear designs from local brands such as Sandlot Goods, Raygun, Sideline Chic and Sock 101.

The night also includes music from DJ Ashton Martin, drinks, bites and silent and live auctions. And don’t miss photos ops with sports super fans KC Ape-Man and the Kansas City Cats. Tickets start at $25 and include a drink ticket and valet parking.

Proceeds benefit Love Fund for Children, which works to ensure kids in Kansas City and surrounding communities have necessities for growing, learning and living such as coats, mattresses and medical supplies.
