About the KC Magazine Team
Once upon a time, Kimberly requested three wishes and a generous genie granted them: To be named as editor-in-chief of KC Magazine; to join Chef Jasper Mirabile as co-host of LIVE! From Jasper’s Kitchen every week on KCMO 710/103.7; and to live in a city where the barbecue runs as freely as the fountains. Although she isn’t pressing her luck, Kimberly has one more request: to appear on the jumbotron at The K.
Katie prefers the title “Kansas City’s Head Cheerleader” and is thrilled to be part of a publication that champions her hometown’s fascinating people, exciting arts scene, food, fashion, attractions and events. She’s most proud of the many ways KC Magazine and its social media outlets support the city’s philanthropic events. Katie was a member of the team that launched the publication in 2004.
Outside of the office, where she writes for KC Magazine and curates content and writes and edits stories for thisiskc.com and its digital products, Kelsey can be found at the dog park with her canine partner in crime, April, and dining her way through Kansas City—in the name of research, of course.
Kathy is thrilled to be working for a dynamic publication where she combines a passion for compelling visual design with her love for Kansas City. When her nose isn’t buried in inDesign, creating the latest issue of KC Magazine or styling a photo shoot, Kathy can be found at one of her four children’s activities around town.
When Scott isn’t at Allen Fieldhouse watching the Jayhawks play basketball, he enjoys playing disc golf at the beautiful parks around the Kansas City metro, antiquing in the West Bottoms, devouring as much sushi as he can and rocking out at concerts around town.
Like most people who spend their days in front of a small flickering screen, Andrew is fashion-handicapped and beer-friendly. After hours he can be found playing high-wattage guitar amps, trying new debilitating hot sauces and painting the walls of his new house odd colors.
Allyson is a veteran award-winning media sales professional who has spent her career in Kansas City, raising children and dogs and shopping boutiques for the latest fashions (and shoes). A well-versed aficionado of everything Kansas City—from sports to museums and barbecue to cupcakes—Allyson counts her lucky stars for the opportunity to work with Team KC Magazine and promote a city she loves.
Corrie has been busy moving from one city to another before finally calling Kansas City home late last year. She couldn’t be happier working with such a talented and energetic team celebrating the best of KC. Corrie loves to travel, practice yoga and spends her down time eating her way through Kansas City (hence the yoga).
